PLEASE NOTE: IN REGARDS TO AD LINKS
To send the URL of your posted ad, find your ad in the category of the city you posted it in, (not from your advertiser account) or from a search with a keyword or keyword phrase. Open the ad and copy the link from the browser address bar. The numbers at the end represent that specific ad. If you email the ad to youself with the "Email this posting to a friend" option, the URL of the ad will be posted in the email as well. Do not send the URL of the ad that is in your verification email to publish the ad.

Soon, the number at the end of the ad links will be 4 digits.
The link to your ad should look like this:

(http://) mytvclassifieds.com/classified/reveal_post.php?pstid=000

How to Create a Video

You may have no idea how to create and edit a simple video on your computer.  It is extremely easy to do using the free "Windows Movie Maker" software that comes pre-installed on all Windows XP and Windows Vista computers.

For MAC users:
http://www.apple.com/ilife/imovie

If your Windows computer doesn’t have this program pre-installed, you can download it from the Microsoft website at:

http://microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx

PowerPoint and Movie Maker are almost identical in format and structure so if you have used PPT you will find MM easy. In PowerPoint you add a series of photos and text to create a presentation, and in Movie Maker you add together video clips and audio to make a short movie, in almost exactly the same way.

Getting Started with Window’s Movie Maker

To help you get started and learn the basics, there are a series of excellent step-by-step instructions on the Microsoft Movie Maker website you can follow.  Many of the instructions are accompanied by short video clips, showing you exactly what they are demonstrating!

Just click on this link to go there:
http://microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/getstarted/default.mspx

If this is completely new to you, start at the beginning with "The Basics - Videos: See what you can do with Windows Movie Maker".

By following these easy steps and watching the short videos, you can learn how to create and edit your own videos easily. Then experiment with your own video clips to make your first simple video, suitable for posting online.

It really is that simple.

About Keyword Searches

Q. I am searching a particular keyword but I am only getting results from one City.  How can I get broader results from my searches?

A. If you click on "Home" before any keyword searches you do, you will get results from all Cities and States for that keyword or phrase.  As long as you do not see a City listed below the top banner, your search results will be broad.

Q. I want to post an ad but the City I want to post in is not listed.  What should I do?

A. You can send in a request (use Support from your back office) to have the City added or you can choose the nearest city and type in your specific City or Town in the "Location" field.

Q. I want to post in a particular category but it is not listed.  What should I do?

A. You can send in a request (use Support from your back office) to have the category added or you can choose the category that best suits your ad.

Q. How can I optimize my ads?

A. Here are some tips for posting great ads:

1) When you post your ads, even if you need to post it several times for different cities, don't post a duplicate ad.  Change the ad somewhat, especially the "Posting Title".

2) Choose different keywords if possible for a duplicate ad.

3) Use different images for a duplicate ad if possible.

4) Choose unique headlines and try to make the ad interesting to the viewer.

5) Track your ads.  Some posting titles might get better results than others so tracking would be very helpful.

Q. What types of ads am I able to post?  Can I post HTML ads as well as TEXT ads?

A. You may post both TEXT ads or HTML ads, or a combination of both.  You can even add up to 4 images and video.

Q. Will I be able to post the same ad multiple times for multiple cities?

A.  Theoretically, yes.  However, if your ad is for a service or business opportunity that is available nationwide, you may only want to post it once and choose "Nationwide", "International" or "North America" as the location even when you choose a specific city.

Q. Can I post my ad multiple times and simply choose a different set of keywords for each?

A. Absolutely.  We recommend that you change up the ad a bit by using different images, banners, and a unique headline for each.  It will be more noticeable that way and not irritating to the viewer to see the same ad repeated.  Plus, it will be seen on the keyword searches for the keywords you choose.

Q. Is there a limit to the number of times I can edit my ad?

A. You may edit your ad as often as you need to.  You will be required to click a confirmation link to activate the edited ad each time.

Q. Can I delete my ad and start over?

A. Yes.  When you delete your ad, the ad quota will be restored.

Q. Do I have to set up my ads again in 30 days or can I automatically renew them?

A. You can automatically renew them.  A few days before expiration you will receive a reminder that your ad is about to expire and you will have the option to renew it so that it is not deleted.

Q. I posted an ad but now I cannot find it when I do a search for my keywords.

A. Please check that you did receive a verification e-mail to publish your ad.  Your ad will not be published until you click the link in that e-mail.  The e-mail also contains a link where you can go to edit your ad.

Q. What if I do not have anything to advertise or sell, how does this help me?

A. Everyone needs advertising at some point to sell items they no longer need or want or to promote programs they belong to. If you do not need the ads yourself, use them as incentives for others by posting ads for them. Then send them the link to their free ad, and that will expose them to MyTVClassifieds and provide a bonus from you, which they will surely appreciate!

You will also be able to sell your ads to people who want to advertise on MyTVClassifieds but may not necessarily want to become a member. The revenue from these direct ad sales will be 100% yours and you will simply post the ads for these individuals and send them the link to the posted ads.

Retail sales made from the home website but assigned to your ID# will pay you a commission and as well, the qualifying volume will be added to your group volume and commissions will be paid through cycling.

About the Pay Plan

Q. How do commissions work if I do not sell and only enroll and so does everyone else?
A. As a MyTV Business Agent, you will have the option to enroll new members as well as sell ads to customers at retail.

Everyone who enrolls must purchase an ad package. Members pay a sign-up fee and they will be required to choose an ad package. A sale is being made each time a new member signs up. That sale creates volume and cycles you through the pay plan. Each member will be required to qualify for commissions by enrolling at least one member personally on each Binary Leg.

Q. Is it true that everyone who enrolls after me, I receive some piece of commission on?

A. Each person who signs up and is added to either of your Binary Legs counts towards your volume when they choose an ad package. When you qualify for commissions by sponsoring a minimum of one member personally in each Binary Leg, matching volume on each side will trigger cycle commissions during a qualifying pay period.

About Sponsors

Q. I have not heard from my sponsor and have not received a response to my inquiries.  Can I change sponsors?

A. You cannot change sponsors but we can help you find out who is upline so that you can get the support you need.  Just send us a support ticket from the "Support" button at the bottom of the website and we'll do our best to let you know who you can contact.

About the Binary Downline

Q. I switched my preferred placement from Left Leg to Right Leg but my next personal signup still went in to the Left Leg.  Why is this not working?

A. Make sure that when you switch your preferred placement that you save your changes.  Leave that page or log out and log in again to check that the preferred placement is where you want it to be.  Using Internet Explorer as your browser will be your best option.

Q. I forgot to switch my Binary Legs and a few people that I sponsored are not on the side that I wanted them to be on.  Can I have them switched to the other leg?

A. Once someone has been place, they cannot be moved.  You should have several personally sponsored referrals on each side anyway so we encourage you to switch your "Preferred Placement" and just keep on sponsoring and your other side will fill up soon.

Q. I enrolled 2 people but they both are under my left leg, does that mean I do not qualify for commissions?

A. You do not qualify for commissions until you have enrolled at least one member personally on each Binary Leg. However, your volume is "banked" for the following month until you do qualify so it is never lost.

Q. One of my Binary Legs is growing faster than the other.  Will I lose it if I don't catch up on the other side?

A. Keep on sponsoring and you will catch up eventually.  The volume being created there is being "banked" until the pay period where you do qualify so don't stop building on your weakest leg and you will get paid, provided you have one personally sponsored active member on each side.

About Spillover

Q. I'm seeing many people under me that I did not sponsor.  Is this spillover and will I get paid for all those people?

A. As long as you qualify by having one personally sponsored active person on your Left Binary Leg and your Right Binary Leg during a pay period, you will get paid when you have matching volume on both sides.  It doesn't matter who sponsored them, as long as you have at least one personally sponsored active member on each binary leg.

Q. Should I contact all the people that are spilling over below me and welcome them to my team?

A. You should contact only those that you personally sponsored.  Everyone that spills over under you will be contacted by their own sponsors.

Q. I'm not seeing any spillover at all.  Why?

A. Spillover depends on your activity and the activity of your sponsor and their upline in that particular leg.  It doesn't necessarily happen right away.  Just get it started and you will soon see members coming in from all over.  Just remember, as much spillover as you expect from your sponsor will be expected of you from your downline.  If you just get started, it will happen for you.

About Promoting Your MyTV Business (Affiliate URLs)

Q. Why don't we have affiliate websites to promote MyTVClassifieds online?

A. Members of MyTVClassifieds are assigned their own individual ID# instead of affiliate URL's.  Your prospects need to have your personal ID# in order for you to be credited with a member signup or a customer sale.  The main reason is that we want all traffic to come directly to MyTVClassifieds and all the State and City pages associated with it.  This will increase the traffic rating (ALEXA) and subsequently the value of the banners and advertising.

Q. How do we advertise online without an affiliate URL?

A. There are many places online where you can submit text and html ads to advertise your MyTVClassifieds business.  Just be sure to always include your MyTVClassifieds Member ID# in your ad.  Some members are using splashpages with great success.

Sample ad:
